How to Make Easy Rune Stones

For these really really easy hand made rune stones you'll need:
Stones (any of your choice. Either gemstones or just some from a place close to you)
Strong acrylic paint
Enamel spray
Basically I've always been interested in rune stones but only recently decided I'd like my own. At the moment I'm skint and I wanted to make my own, I thought this would give them a more personal feel. So I made these. Now I don't trust myself with power tools and so I decided to make this in a easier and safer way.
Stones!

Get your stones! I picked these because of where they were from and I cleaned them all thoroughly. I also picked ones that were smooth and flat.
Research!

Next I researched and combined all my knowledge of rune stones into colour coded sheets. This is to make sure I knew why I was making them and all the background knowledge I needed to appreciate them. I also documented the different symbols.
Decorating!

I took my nice clean stones, put a small amount if blue tack on the back and stuck them to a board to make sure they didn't slip anywhere. The I started to pain on my runes carefully in my black paint. I have each one two coats to make sure the paint was nice and dark.
Enamel!

I let them dry over night and then I put them on some old card, using the blue tack, and stayed them with enamelling spray. This ideally wants to be done outside. Then I left them to dry in a well ventilated room for a few hours. When I went back they were shiny and beautiful. Taking the blue tack off was a pain, so be careful not to use to much!
Finished!

That's it, easy peasey and doesn't take long. I now have beautiful rune stones!
