How to Make a Camshaft Lamp

This project was made all with most common tools and inexpensive ones that can be found very easily. It is the perfect gift or that one car lover friend

We are going to need:

1) Camshaft (in my case i got it from my local junk yard for only 2$

2)Steel wire Brushes (Is recomended the one in the foto above rather than the manual one because is faster)

4) One switch

5) One lamp holder

6)One light plug

7)One lampshade

8)any cable you can get one with color if you like

First use the wire brush to remove all the rust from the exterior of the lamp

Next we will change the brush to the abrasive one and as before we will try to get as shiny as posible. (it is recommended to give it a lacquer spray coat to preven rusting again

To get all wired properly is very simple just start puting the wire in the holes from the plug to the switch (two cables) it dosent mather the order, and he from the plug to the lamp holder each one in one of the two screws that it has.

you just need to unscrew the top of the camshaft, insert there the lamp shader and then put it again. Then with silicone glue the lamp holder to the top and there you have your own camshaft lamp
