How Many Times Do We Blink in Our Lifespans?

Hello! In this experiment we are going to be experimenting how many times we blink in our lifetimes.

A calculator and google.

I think the average human blinks around 10 million times in there lifespan.

So first we must search up how many times we blink every minute. So go and search that up. So the answer you should have gotten is 10-20 blinks a minute. Next calculate how many blinks we blink in one hour. So go multiply 10 and 20 by 60 to get 600-1200 blinks a hour. Then multiply that by 24 to get 14400-28800 blinks a day. Next multiply that by 365 to get 5256000 -10512000 blinks a year. Lastly multiply that by 79 (The average human life span) to get 415,224,000-830448000 blinks in a lifetime! Wow, that's a lot of blinks!

Bonus Research: Multiply your final answers by 0.1, divide by 60 twice to get 11534-23068 hours of blinking in your lifespan!

I learned by doing this experiment that we blink 415,224,000-830448000 times in a lifetime. I also learned that my hypothesis of blinking 10 million times in a lifetime was waaay off.
