  • Draw a house on a foam board, as shown
  • Mine is 5 cm at the base and a height of 7 cm
  • Cut a piece of form board to leave approx 1 cm
  • Stick the two pieces together using superglue, as shown
  • Make another copy of this
  • Cut 2 pieces of foam board 3.8cm x 6cm for the side walls
  • Using superglue stick all the walls
  • Add a base too

  • We need a cavity inside, for which I have used styrofoam
  • Again leaving 1cm margin on the sides and top
  • Stick the styrofoam to the base
  • Cut two pieces for the roof, but glue only one in place
  • We will use this opening to pour cement

Cement

  • Make a thick mixture of white cement and water
  • Pour it into the mold, rotate the mold at an angle, and place it in a bowl
  • Fill the cement untill the brim and cover using the last roof piece
  • Leave it to dry for 10 hours
  • De-mold it gently

Cleanup

  • After demolding, soak the house in water for a day
  • Superglue reacts with cement and leaves rust-like marks
  • Use cement slurry to fill any holes and cover these marks
  • Drill a hole for the chimney using a screwdriver

Detailing

  • We will use (20mm wide) popsicle sticks to make a door and a window
  • Using the same popsicle sticks to make the chimney
  • Use wood or PVA glue to stick the door, windows, and chimney in their position
  • Let this dry for 2 hours

Finalizing

  • Light an incense stick and place the house on it
  • The smoke should come out of the chimney
  • You may have to drill some air holes at the base for airflow
  • And use super glue to fill any unwanted leaks
  • Once done we can set it on a shelf and admire it's beauty
  • Optional : make a cement disc to avoid burn marks on the self

I hope you like and make one
