Here is it working this is what you will eventually get to, but it will take a lot of testing.

You must have bare copper wire, non-coated magnets, and a battery.

Second you need to bend a piece of copper wire so that the top will touch the top of the battery and the bottom will touch the bottom of the battery where the magnets hit. Then you want to balance it on and watch it spin.DO NOT HOLD IT IN PLACE ON THE BATTERY!! The wire will get really hot and you will burn yourself really badly.
