Add the meausred quantity of flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and baking powder together in a separate bowl and blend all ingredients together. Once mixed add to other mixing bowl and stir. Stir in walnuts, if desired.Finish by mixing contents together with wooden spoon or electric mixer.

Step 6: Place Batter in Fridge for 15 Minutes Uncovered.

Chilling cookie dough before baking solidifies the fat in the cookies. As the cookies bake, the fat in the chilled cookie dough takes longer to melt than room-temperature fat. And the longer the fat remains solid, the less cookies spread.

Step 7: Now We Are Ready to Bake!

Lay cookie sheets out, spray with non stick spray. Use a teaspoon to size and drop cookies onto sheet.

Note: If want to, can freeze batter to make at a later time.

Place cookies slightly spaced (about 2 inches) onto a cookie sheet.

WARNING: Oven is hot! Use oven mitt to prevent being burned.

Bake for 10-15 minutes then remove sheet from oven while wearing an oven mitt.

Step 8: Frosting Time!
