Combine and mix everything and let rest about 5 minutes until yeast starts to foam. You can use something to cover up the yeast, like dry cloth or plastic wrap, to prevent flies or ants from going in.

Add Flour and 2 Tablespoons of Oil and Knead

Add flour and 2 tablespoons of oil, and mix and it together until it turns into dough. When it starts to form a dough, you can use your hand to knead into a dough. You can add flavourings if you would like, so when you are eating it, it won't be so plain.

Take Out the Dough and Use the Remaining Oil to Cover the Bowl

Remove the dough and use the remaining oil to cover the bowl, so that the dough won’t stick onto the bowl.

Wait for 1 Hour

Cover bowl with plastic wrap in a warm temperature place for about an hour. This will make the dough swell up and make it bigger, larger, and softer. While waiting, you can preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C).

Cut, Twist, Sprinkle the Dough

Cut dough into 8 pieces and roll them out into thin ropes, twisting the two ends to form a pretzel shape. If your flour is sticky, you can sprinkle some flour onto the dough pieces, and start to roll.

Transfer, Egg Wash the Dough

Add a baking sheet onto the baking tray and transfer pretzels to the tray, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with salt. Separated egg yolk and egg white into different bowls, you will just need the egg yolk. I brushed lots of egg yolk on my pretzels because I want it to taste salty, if you already add flavouring in your dough, try not to brush too much egg yolk on the pretzels or else it will taste weird.

Bake It

Bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.

Enjoy!

You can dip it in some sauce, and toppings if you would like. Now, it ready to serve.
