Homemade Peppermint Cinnamon Cocoa Mix

In this instructable, you will learn how to make delicious homemade peppermint cinnamon hot cocoa to keep you warm when it's cold outside. It is surprisingly easy to make, and you probably have most of the ingredients already. Without further ado, let's dive in.

Supplies

This recipe makes one cup of cocoa, so you can double, triple, or even quadruple it if you want more.

Ingredients for mix (one serving):

  • 2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1/2 Candy Cane, Crushed (or any other crushed peppermint candy)
  • 6 (or more) Mini Marshmallows

Ingredients to prepare (one serving):

  • 1 cup of Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 serving Homemade Cocoa Mix

Combine Ingredients

First, add the granulated sugar and cocoa powder to a bowl. Then, add the cinnamon and a pinch of salt.

Mix

Mix the ingredients until combined.

Add to Jar + Toppings

Add the mix to a mason jar (or container of your choice), and add the crushed candy canes, and mini marshmallows on top.

First, add the milk to a cup. Then, add the vanilla extract and stir until combined. Next, microwave until hot, add one serving of homemade cocoa mix and stir until combined. Finally, add the crushed candy canes and mini marshmallows on top.
