The pencil launcher is similar to a slingshot and uses similar properties. It has a ~9"x1" cylinder where you can put anything inside to launch.

Supplies

- 8" long 1 5/16" diameter PVC pipe

- 10" long 1" diameter PVC pipe - 3 10" elastic cords

- 6" string

- 1"x1" flat piece of plastic

- 3-5 10" elastic cords

Tools:

- Drill + 1/4" drill bit

- Hot glue + hot glue gun

Drill Holes for String

Cut Plastic Piece to Fit Inside PVC Pipe

Hot glue the plastic piece in a way that does not block the 2 holes, as shown in the 2nd image.

Stick String Through Holes

Evenly space the elastic cords around the rim of the 1 5/16" pipe

Hot Glue It Together

Make sure to use a generous amount when gluing it together so it is able to withstand the impact of the 2nd PVC pipe.

Stick Smaller Pipe Into Larger One

Stick the smaller pipe into the larger pipe non-drilled side first. Then hook the pipe together as shown.

(Optional) Hot glue the smaller pipe to the hooks the same way as shown in step 6.

Then you are finished!
