My husband has been getting more and more into taking baths for relaxation. Bath salts, bombs, scrubs, etc. get pretty pricey, so I thought it would be fun to make some homemade bath salts for him.

The Epsom Salt container says to pour two cups of salt into your bath. I thought this was a good starting point for making a batch of bath salts. Pour two cups (or more) of salt into a bowl and add 10 (or more) drops of lavender essential oil. Stir well.

I have purple food gel, so I used a toothpick to dab a very, very, small amount of color into some of the salt. Then I used a fork to mix it really well. After the color was the shade I wanted, I mixed in the dried lavender.

When you're done mixing your salts and scents, use a funnel to pour the salts into containers. You can do straight lavender scented salts, a mix of lavender and plain, anything you want!
