Homemade Fresh Raw Garlic Powder

Start With FRESH Raw Garlic !

Separate the heads into individual Cloves, removing as much paper as possible...

I got a pot of water to a rolling boil...Then drop in the cloves and boil for just 30 seconds to 1 minute..

Do Not cook the garlic as you want the raw garlic flavor.

Strain the garlic and put in to ice cold water to stop the cooking action...

There you go...Easy to Peel Garlic...

Peel Your Garlic...

Run the Cleaned Garlic thru your food processor until you get a paste.

Dry Your Garlic Paste

Spread the garlic paste onto fruit leather trays no more than 1/4" thick and set your dehydrator to between 125F and 135F. Dry for 6-8 hours or till crispy dry.

If you do not have a dehydrator, spread paste onto a parchment lined baking sheet and dry in your oven on the lowest temperature...

Dried Garlic Paste

This is what it should look like ... Half way thru the dehydrating process, you should be able to peel the semi dried paste off the sheets and turn over. This will help the paste dry thoroughly.

Grind and Strain the Dried Garlic Paste

Once the garlic paste is crispy dried. put into your coffee or spice grinder and grind away !

Strain the powder thru a fine mesh strainer. There will be some chunks left, just put them back into your grinder and grind again...

Keep adding dried garlic to the grinder until you are all finished.

Done !!!
