Homemade French Toast (Grandma's Edition)

This is a recipe by my grandmother that has been taught to her by her mother. This is the modern-day version because my grandmother was born in the early 1940’s.

Supplies

Ingredients For 4pcs:

- 4 eggs

- 4 pieces of bread

- 3.5 tsp Soy Sauce

- 4 tsp Brown Sugar

- 2 tsp Sweet Sauce

- 2 tsp Sesame Oil

- 40g Margarine/Salted Butter

Tools:
- Pan Large Bowl

- Tongs/Chopsticks

- Whisk/Fork

- Stove Air Fryer

The Bread

1. First, take out your bread and spread 5g of butter on each piece.

The Eggs

Second, crack 5 eggs into a large bowl and beat it until fully mixed (has no white particles/bubbles) and stir in the soy sauce, sugar, sweet sauce and sesame oil while beating.

The Dip

Afterwards, dip a piece of bread into the egg mixture for 10 sec and put it into the pan.

The Melt

Next, heat the pan to medium-high heat on the stove and put 10g of butter into the pan and wait until it melts.

The Flip

Then, leave the bread in the pan for 50sec and flip it and wait for another 50sec.

The Crispiness

After that, take out the bread and put it into the air fryer for crispiness 5min (optional).

The Delicacy

Lastly, serve with 10g of butter. Serve hot.
