Homemade Dry Shampoo (for Light or Dark Hair)
Store-bought dry shampoos can be really unhealthy and often contain tons of chemicals. Not to mention, they can be really expensive! Here is a recipe for making your own all natural dry shampoo with ingredients that you can find around your kitchen! It lasts for a long time and works great!
For Light Colored Hair:
What you need:
A container (I used an empty salt shaker which makes it easy to shake onto my hair)
Equal parts cornstarch and baking soda
5-10 drops of essential oils - I use rosemary or lavender because they are great for hair and scalp health!
Directions:
Mix the ingredients in a small bowl and transfer into your container. Shake, brush or sprinkle your dry shampoo onto your scalp and brush through to ends.
For Dark Colored Hair:
What you need:
A container
Equal parts cornstarch and unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp baking soda
5-10 drops of essential oils (again, I like lavender and rosemary)
Directions:
Mix the ingredients in a small bowl and transfer into your container. Shake, brush or sprinkle your dry shampoo onto your scalp and brush through to ends.
