Homemade Creamy Chicken Alfredo ( Alfredo Sauce From Scratch)
I made a quick dish of Cajun Chicken Alfredo, with a homemade alfredo sauce to die for! This meal is an inspired dish created by my mother. This meal in particular is near and dear to my heart because it was the first dish I learned to make. If you are looking for a savory delectable dinner recipe, this is the place for you.

Serving Size: 4-6
Supplies
- Penne Pasta Noodles
- Boneless and skinless chicken breast or chicken tenderloins
- 16 oz. heavy whipping cream
- 32 oz. chicken broth
- 3 tbs. salted butter
- minced garlic or fresh garlic clove
- shredded or grated parmesan cheese
- 8 oz. of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup of Olive Oil
- 1 tbs. Ground Black Pepper
- 1 tbs. Paprika
- 1 tbs. Garlic Powder
- 1 tbs. Onion Powder
- 1 tbs. Slap Ya Mama
- Large cooking pot
- Large sauce skillet
Noodle Prep
- Fill your large cooking pot about half way with tap water.
- Place pot with water onto eye on a medium/hot heat.
- Add 1 tbs. of table salt.
- Add 3 tbs. of salted butter to salt water.
- Bring water to a boil.
Meat Prep
While you wait for your pasta water to boil, prep your protein. In this case, I used chicken Tenderloins (chicken breast are acceptable as well.)
- Remove chicken from package.
- Place in bowl.
- Wash chicken thoroughly with cool water for 2 minutes.
- Place chicken on chopping board.
- Pat each individual chicken dry with a paper towel.
Add Seasoning
- Once chicken is clean and dry, you want to place back into bowl to season.
- Add 1 tbs. of black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, slap ya' mama, and parsley flakes onto chicken.
- Once all seasoning are added, mix seasoning and chicken together to cote each piece of meat evenly.
*Disclaimer* Always season to your liking!!
Add Noodles to Boiling Water
Now that you have brought your water to a boil, its time to add your noodles.
- Add 3 quarters of penne noodles to boiling water.
( Can add more or less depending on the amount of guest you are serving.)
- After noodles are in pot, thoroughly mix noodles with butter and salt water mixture.
- Cook until al dente ( you want to look for a partially cooked consistency.)
Cook Meat
- Add 1/4 cup of olive oil to sauce pan.
- Bring fire to a medium high heat.
- Place seasoned chicken in pan.
- Cook chicken on both sides for 5-7 minutes until done.
Set Chicken Aside
- Place fully cooked chicken to the side
Special Alfredo Sauce
- In the same pan you cooked your chicken in, add 2 tbs. of minced garlic.
- Then, add 16oz. of heavy whipping cream
- Afterwards, add 1/2 cup of chicken broth to thin out mixture.
- Whisk ingredients together thoroughly.
Sauce Recipe
- Now, whisk in 1 tbs. of the seasoning used to season your meat earlier.
- Sprinkle in 6 oz. of grated parmesan cheese.
- Then, add 8 oz. of mozzarella cheese to mixture.
- Whisk mixture well with fire on a medium low heat.
Drain Noodles
- Using a strainer, drain water off of pasta noodles and shake to be sure all water is gone.
Add Noodles to Sauce
- Place eye on a low heat.
- Carefully add pasta noodles to alfredo sauce.
- Mix pasta and alfredo sauce together.
- Be sure that every pasta noodles is covered completely in the special sauce.
Add Meat
- After thoroughly mixing pasta and alfredo sauce together, add grilled chicken on top.
- Sprinkle a bit of parsley flakes to add color to dish.
Finished Result
If you followed each step closely, you should be left with a quick, yet beautiful pasta dish.
