For this instructable, you will will learn how to make your own crayon out of broken or unused crayons. If you are like me, you have probably broken a few and have no purpose for them, now you can recycle them for good!

The supplies you need for this craft are old crayons, a silicone mold of your choice, a plastic bag, a microwave, and a spoon.

Step 3: Once the crayons are crushed, transfer them into a silicone ice mold and spread them evenly. Make sure to fill it close to the top, if not, there will not be enough to form correctly.

Step 4: Put your mold into the microwave and microwave it for 3 minutes. Constantly check to see if it is melted, be careful, it can get very hot! If it is not done yet, put it in for another 1 to 2 minutes. Do this until it looks completely melted.

Step 5: BTW: My original mold was not melting the crayons, so I decided to change my mold to a heart one!

It will be very hot and not yet hardened when it comes out, so put it in the freezer for a few minutes until it is hardened. Once it is hardened, gently try to pop it out of the mold, and if it is still not completely hardened, put it in the freezer for a few more minutes.

Note, if there are any little excess pieces sticking to the crayon, you can gently try to pick it off.

Step 6: Take it a step further and try using scented crayons for a nice smell, or use an animal mold, like my bunny, to create animals with your crayons! Have fun and enjoy!
