Homemade Bounty Bars
When I was child my mother used make different variations of Snickers, Mars and any other chocolate bar. They were delicious, but often didn't have anything in common with the originals.
A few days ago I bought Bounty for myself and the idea was born. After a short research I decided to make my own Bounty bars. They taste similar but somehow better.
Hope you are going to like it. :)
Also, I would be really grateful if you could support me here.
You'll need:
200g (7oz) shredded coconut
70g (2,5oz) powdered sugar
70g (2,5oz) butter
100ml (3,3oz) heavy whipping cream
Bounty Bar Preparation
1. In a saucepan mix the butter and heavy whipping cream. Heat gently over a hot water, stirring until it is well blended and dissolved.
2. Mix shredded coconut and powdered sugar.
Preparing the Paste
Pour melted butter and heavy cream over shredded coconut and sugar mixture. Mix everything together to make a thick and sticky paste.
How to Shape the Bars
Using your hands, form rectangles or any other form you like with the paste you made before. Press firmly to make sure the rectangles will keep their shape and won't fall apart. Put rectangles on parchment paper and refrigerate for one hour.
Chocolate Coating
You'll need 250g of chocolate. I used dark chocolate but you could also use regular milk chocolate.
Microwave 2/3 on medium power for 30 seconds, stir, then repeat in 15 seconds interval until the chocolate has melted.
After that add the rest of the chocolate and stir until completely melted. Wait for minute or two and start dipping bars in the chocolate coating.
When completely coated put them back in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes.
