Homemade Berry, Lemon and Chia Jam

Homemade jam is SO simple to make, using only a few ingredients and taking only a short while.
What You Need

To make this berry, lemon and chia seed jam you will need:
Ingredients
- The juice of 1/2 lemon
- 400g berries (frozen or fresh)
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 4 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
Equipment:
- Medium sized, heavy-bottomed pan
- Fork
- 1 large glass jar (or two smaller ones)
Cook the Berries

Place the berries and maple syrup in the pan and squeeze in the juice of half a lemon.
Cook on a medium heat for around 10 minutes.
Get Mashing

Using a fork, mash any larger pieces of fruit that still remain.
Add the Chia Seeds

Sprinkle over the chia seeds and then stir in.
Cook for another 10-15 minutes, until the jam is nice and thick.
Leave to cool completely.
Pour Into Jars

Pour jam into the jar(s) and place in the fridge. The jam will last for up to two weeks.
Enjoy!

Eat with crusty bread, poured over Greek yoghurt or in your favourite sponge cake!
