Hiii

I'm back with air conditioning project.

This is a simple Homemade, portable, 12V DC air conditioning system.

So guys you can make one using the following steps.

Parts Required

  1. Plywood
  2. Old radiator fan
  3. Old windshield washer pump
  4. 12V 4A power supply (you can use a computer SMPS also)
  5. Copper tube (5 mm diameter)
  6. Tube connectors
  7. Electrical components ( detailed in step 3 & 4)
  8. Soldering iron
  9. Driller

Plywood Preparation

Cut the plywood in required length.

Length will depend upon the radiator fan.

After cutting put holes for attaching copper tubes.

Make holes for switch & LED too.

Cut copper tubes also.

Make Circuit for Pump

Circuit 1

Why i used a circuit for pump ?

It is not required run the pump continuously. So i made a repeating timer circuit.

I made it for 1 min on & 1 min off . Refer this to get more idea.Repeat-Timer-Circuit.

Give connections as per the circuit diagram given.

Make Speed Control Circuit for Fan

Circuit 2

Speed controlling is necessary for a fan, i made a simple pulse width modulator for speed controlling.

Components needed

IC NE555

Diode 1N5815

VR 100k

MOSFET IRF 530

Capacitors 10nf, 0.1nf, 470mfd

Give connections as per the circuit diagram given.

According to connection layout give connection to fan, pump, circuit 1 & circuit 2.

Fixing Copper Tubes

Now fix the copper tubes in previously drilled holes. Connect each copper tube using hose pipe from pump & finally to the collection tank.

RUN A/C
