Home Automation With Raspberry Pi Using ROR

The aim of this project to control home device like bulb ,fan ,TV etc using your existing smart phone.

What's required

1 Raspberry pi 2

8 GB ,class 10 micro sdcard

1 USB wi-fi adapter

1 USB power adapter 5V

1 USB power cable

8 channel 12v Relay module

12 v power supply for relay module

These commonly available free software would be required:

Download “Hotspot Manager” from play store

Basic Connections

Plug in the provided USB wi-fi adapter to one of the Raspberry Pi's USB Ports.

Connect the micro USB cable to the raspberry Pi and provided USB power adapter.

Your Raspberry Pi should power up and start booting as soon as power is applied.

Configure Hotspot maneger

Open hotspot manager and create new hotspot with user “pi” without qoutes and password

“raspberry”.

Start the hotspot

Go to clients tab where you will see connected wi-fi user

Note down the ip of connected pi

Wait for 2 minut to configure server to start

Now go to the browser and type your ip:3000

After that you will see the default 8 device

You can edit name as you want with edit button

Now your device is ready to operate (Bingo!!!)
