Holiday Cornbread Recipe
The holidays are right around the corner and cornbread is a must for a lot of families. There are lots of different ways to make it and you can always buy the pre-made box kind (hey I've done that for years and it was yummy). This cornbread is delicious with some honey and jam or as is with some milk. Believe it or not, growing up we were not raised on cornbread because both my parents came from Romania but I love adding American traditions to my holiday table. So if you want to make you own Holiday Cornbread that is ridiculously easy, then follow the step by step guide below or watch the video tutorial here:

Spray Baking Dish
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spray an 9-inch square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Stir Butter and Sugar
In a large bowl, stir together melted butter and sugar.
Add Eggs and Buttermilk
Add the eggs and buttermilk. Stir until well combined.
Add in Baking Soda and Salt
Add the baking soda and salt, mix well.
Cornflour and Flour
Stir in the cornmeal and flour. Mix until few lumps remain.
Bake
Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes. A toothpick should come out nearly clean with a few moist crumbs clinging to it.
Pull Cornbread Out of Oven
Allow your cornbread to cool. I cut the edges but you don't have to do this. Then go ahead a cut your cornbread into pieces.
Enjoy!
Enjoy this holiday classic with honey and jam or as is with a nice tall glass of milk!
