Hobbes!

It's Hobbes! One of my friends asked me if I could make a little Hobbes for her hubby as a Christmas gift, so I jumped at the opportunity to make one of my favorite comic strip characters. Hobbes is crocheted with an E size hook with worsted weight yarn, filled with polyfil, and small pieces of white craft fur were used for his cheek fuzz. I initially tried using plastic safety eyes, but I ended up cutting out tiny little ovals of felt instead, because I felt like the oblong-shaped eyes looked more true to the trouble-making tiger that I grew up with. A happy little smile was stitched on, a little scarf was tied around his neck, and this little dude was ready to start exploring!
