Hiding Your Very Own Treasure

Geocaching is like hiding and finding your own buried treasure. In this tutorial will show you how to hide your very own Geocache for millions to find.

Creating Your Geocaching Account

First Create an account, You can sign up using your email or through Facebook, try to choose a creative username. This is the website that we will use to help the whole world find your treasure.

Finding Your Geocaching Container

Next locate a container to use, you can use a large or small container. This container must be waterproof and be large enough to contain a small log for people to sign.

Finding Trinkets

Next look for trinkets around your house to put in the cache, You can put in as many or as few as you like and these will be traded for other small toys once the cache is placed.

Putting Everything Together

Now put the small toys in the cache along with a notepad and a pencil inside the geocache. Make sure the lid fits on firmly and the cache is waterproof.

Hiding Your Geocache

Find a nice place to hide it and get the longitude and latitude quadrants. Make sure the spot is not too wet and not in a place where non-Geocachers will find it.

Putting in the Online Coordinates

Put in your caches latitude and longitude coordinates onto the website exactly and you found them.
