Hide-a-flashdrive
In this instructable, you will learn two ways to hide a USB flash drive in plain sight. one inside of an eraser, and one in another USB!
the individual material lists will be included in each method, but assume that each one requires a USB flash drive.
Ready Your Drive
Carefully remove the casing from the flash drive. It should look something like this.
I just used plain old pliers, but you may want to be more delicate than that.
Method 1: in the Eraser
MATERIALS:
pink eraser
craft or Exacto knife
super glue
Tweezers
Cut and Hollow Out Your Eraser
cut about 1/3 off of your eraser, keeping both halves, and hollow them out enough to put the flash drive into it.
for a guide, put the drive onto the cut part, and draw out the outline.
Glue Your Flashdrive
Now glue the back of the flash drive into the larger end of the eraser.
IMPORTANT!
make sure that before you glue it, the drive has enough room to be recognized by the computer. Otherwise, it will be USELESS!
It should look like this.
You're Done!
the eraser now holds a convenient flash drive and you have something really cool!
Method 2: Frayed USB
MATERIALS:
any broken or useless USB connection
craft knife
super glue
This one is possibly my favorite just because of how cool it looks.
Cut It Up
take your useless USB and cut off the connection, leaving around half an inch of wire. strip the wire so that you have just bare metal, and using the craft knife, slice open the case to reveal the actual USB connection. then sever the connection between the wire and the connection. it should look like the picture above.
Put in Your Connection
Take your flash drive and put it into the case of the old USB. Then replace the wire and glue both sides shut. Be sure to glue the wire so that it doesn't just fall out.
IMPORTANT!
Make sure that before you glue it, the drive has enough room to be recognized by the computer. Otherwise, it will be USELESS!

You're Done!
now, plug in your new destroyed flash drive and await the sounds of horror from your friends as they see you plug a broken USB into your computer.
