Hidden Key in Zippered Headband

thumbnail (66).jpeg

I had a zipper. I had 2 soft cloth headbands. I wanted to sew them together so when you unzip it your key is hidden inside. It is secure on your head so you won't need to carry the key. It can also carry your money! The zippered headband can be rolled over and worn on your wrist! In just a few minutes I had it together and it works great! Here is how you can easily make one!

Supplies

7-inch zipper

2 8-inch soft headbands, 2-inches wide

thread

scissors

sewing machine

Pin the Zipper

Pin the zipper up-side-down on one side of each headband.

Sew the Zipper On

Sew along the zipper edge, joining the zipper to one headband. When you get to the end of that side of the zipper, with the needle in the fabric, turn and sew along the bottom. Turn again and sew the zipper to the other headband using a zig zag or a stretchy stitch, finishing the seam.

Side by Side

Here is a photo of the 2 headbands joined completely on that side by the zipper. Pin the rest of that side together and sew together using a zig zag or stretchy stitch.

Pin the Other Side

That quickly it is complete! Open the zipper and insert your key or money!

Wear It!

Now you can either wear it as a headband in your hair or as a wristband! No one will see you have a hidden key or money in it, and you won't need to bring anything to carry them!
