Hidden Garage Door Button

My workshop has an overhead door that did not come with an opener. That bay is where I keep my UTV, which I use quite frequently. The man door is on the other side of the building, so it's quite inconvenient to go around and open the door with the wall-mounted switch. One day, in a moment of inspiration, I figured out a way to place a hidden switch close to the overhead door so that I could just roll up, get out briefly, and push the button.

I already had a "Schnauzer Xing" sign on the side of the building. I used a screw with a washer placed in precisely the position where I could tuck the point of the plastic sign under it. I drilled a hole sized appropriately for the pushbutton switch and affixed it in place.

I ran the wires along the inside of the shop to the garage door opener, and used a staple gun to hold them in place. I used wire left over from a previous replacement of a garage door opener (not sure how many of those I've done in my life). The wires attach to fairly obvious screws in the side of the unit. Different openers may vary. And that's it! Now when I need to park the UTV, I can push a button to open the door and back right in. And no one can see that it's there.
