Hidden Chair Compartment

Hii makers.

For a long time, I have wanted to make something like a secret hiding place for my ‘’Secret’’ things. So,i was searching around my house for a thing that is common and works as a hiding place and safer as well.

I found my Computer chair is Robust, large in size, and safe for use as a hiding place for my Things.

I started thinking about making a secret compartment in the chair which is not visible by direct inspection but is still there to hide my things.

Let’s start to make it.

1>Wooden chair 

2> MDF sheet 4 mm

3>Measure tape

4>Wooden cutting tools

5>Resin Based Adhesive like Fevicol 

6>some screws and screwdrivers & Hinge.

First, disassemble the seat of the chair from the main structure.

Now I just have a wooden structure and use a measuring tape to measure Internal dimensions, where the seat was placed.

My chair approx measures 14” x 18” from inside.

After measurement, we need to draw the same dimension box on MDF for cutting.

Cut MDF using the Cutting Tool or Rotary tool in exact dimensions 14 x 18 inches. (Cut MDF as per your measured dimension.).

Cut another MDF sheet in the same size or slightly bigger to put it at the bottom of the chair.

Also cut a Small Piece of 50x5mm from MDF to support the Top Mdf sheet.

If your chair is different in dimension, you just follow my steps to make the project.

First I place the MDF sheet at the bottom and use adhesive to stick it.

After that, i stick a Small piece of MDF at 4mm below the top surface of the seat place to support the top MDF sheet place on it.

Use another MDF place on top and make a compartment. Don't assemble the top compartment, it will be open.

Use Hinge to Connect Chair structure and sitting chair. use a screw to Connect the hinge at both sides.

Now your Hiding place is ready to use.

Hide your Valuable things like Money, ValuablePapers, laptops and Gadgets, jewelry and no one can Find out even they observe your chair.

now it's time to test our DIY Hiding Place.

Pick your secret things and place them inside space as i place them.

Cover it with other MDF to hide it inside.

Flip down chair.

Now your Secret Things are hidden and you don't take tension to anyone can steal it.
