Herringbone Lanyard Knot

An attractive alternative to the two strand diamond/lanyard knot.

Middle your cord and bring the ends down on both sides forming two bights.

Bring the left hand end around and up through its own bight.

Repeat with other end.

Bring left hand end down adjacent to neighboring bight and go under one strand.

Flip knot over and repeat previous step with remaining end.

Take some of the slack out of the knot. Bring left hand end over two, under two.

Flip knot over and bring remaining end over two, under two

Tighten.
