Heavenly Chocolate Layered Dessert
This is the best recipe for a layered dessert to put a stop to your sweet tooth. This recipe was given to my family from a family friend and now it is our go-to dish for any pot luck or gathering. Now I will share it with you, so you can enjoy and share this simple yet delicious dessert with your friends and family!
Ingredients & Materials
Materials:
- 1 Package of Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 1 (3.9 Ounce) Package of Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding
- 2 Cups Cold Milk
- 1 (8 Ounce) Package of Cream Cheese
- 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 (16 Ounce) Container of Cool Whip
Tools:
- 9 x 13 Inch Pan
- Mixer
- Whisk
- Saran Wrap
- 3 Mixing Bowls
Make the Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Farenheight
- Spray the pan with something such as Pam so the cake mix won't stick
- In one bowl take the butter and melt it
- In that bowl, add in the egg and the package of cake mix
- Stir until it is one complete mixture
- Take mixture out of the bowl, and place into the pan
- Press the mixture so it is evenly spread out throughout the entire pan
- Bake for 15 minutes
- After baking let the cake cool
Make the Chocolate Pudding
- In another bowl pour in the milk
- Add in the pudding mixture
- Whisk the mixture for 2 minutes
- Cover the bowl with Saran Wrap
- Refrigerate for 5 minutes
Make the Cheese Cake Layer
- In the 3rd and final bowl add the cream cheese
- Add in the powdered sugar
- Mix at a low speed until it is one mixture
- Add in 2 cups of Cool Whip
- Stir in the Cool Whip until it is one mixture
- Set aside until the cake mix from Step 2 is cooled
Layer the Dessert
- Once the cake mix is cooled get the cheesecake mixture from Step 4
- Remove the mixture from the bowl and put on top of the cake
- Spread evenly throughout the entire cake
- Grab the pudding from Step 3 out of the refrigerator
- Uncover, and remove the pudding from the bowl and place on top of the cheesecake layer
- Spread out the pudding evenly
- Grab the rest of the Cool Whip
- Remove the rest of the Cool Whip from the container and place on top of the pudding layer
- Spread evenly
