Hearty After Workout Egg Meal

An egg, bacon, hash-brown, nacho and salsa meal that you won't get tired of! I've went through a fair amount of egg and something meals as a cheap protein source for after my workouts, but this one is what I've had for the last year or two, and its good!

Supplies

Equipment

  • Large Non-Stick Pan
  • Spatula

Main Ingredients

  • Eggs (6) 420 Calories
  • Bacon (4 slices) 380 Calories
  • Hash-browns/Potato slices (pan full or half a package) 250 Calories
  • Nacho chips (couple handfuls) 140 Calories
  • Salsa

Total Calories 1,190

Optional

  • Ham
  • Sausage
  • Ketchup
  • Cheese

Bacon

Cook bacon (3-4 slices or enough to cover bottom of pan), then set aside and break into smaller pieces. Leave grease in pan for the next step

Potatoes/Hash-browns

Use Bacon grease in pan to fry potatoes or hash-browns (half the package or enough to fill bottom of pan)

Add Back in Bacon

Eggs

Add in the 6 Eggs and mix, I usually turn down the heat

Nachos and Salsa

Add a handful or two of crushed Nachos and top with Salsa, then Enjoy!!

Options

  • Sausage and Ham - use instead of or along side bacon
  • Cheese and Ketchup - replace nachos and salsa
