Healthy and Delicious Meatballs
Do you want to make a quick and healthy meal or appetizer that your family will love? These meatballs are simple and delicious. They are also very healthy! They are even 21 Day Fix approved!
Gather Ingredients
I made a large batch because my family loves to eat a lot of them and I also sent them over to a friend so you may want to cut the recipe down (or not!).
This recipe made 20 medium meatballs and 35 small meatballs
2 lbs ground beef
1 lb ground turkey
1 lb ground chicken
1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
4 eggs (beaten)
3/4 cup instant white rice
3/4 bunch chopped fresh parsley
1 Tablespoon garlic paste
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Mix! and Pre-heat
This is a fun step, you can even get the kids involved! After removing jewelry and washing hands really well, combine all the ingredients into a big bowl. Use your hands to squish and mix and stir away! Keep combining and mixing until everything is dispersed evenly in the mixture.
While you are mixing, have the oven pre-heat to 350 degrees.
Roll Your Balls!
I made my meatballs in two different sizes. It all depends on what your family prefers. I made small ones that are about bite size (good for appetizers!) and also medium ones that are more two-bite size.
I used my tablespoon to measure out 2 tablespoons for small meatballs and 3 table spoons for medium meatballs. Roll that balls into spheres and place them on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Because they don't expand like cookies you don't have to worry about spacing them out. I was able to get 20 medium meatballs on a tray at a time or 25 small ones.
Bake!
Bake your meatballs at 350 degrees for approximately 25 minutes or they reach temperature.
*Because this recipe includes chicken and turkey the internal temperature of the meatballs should reach 165.*
Enjoy!
These meatballs are so versatile! You can enjoy them in many different ways. They are able to be eaten alone or in different varieties.
Italian- add your favorite marinara to have an Italian treat in a meatball sub or in spaghetti
Swedish- add brown or mushroom gravy for yummy Swedish meatballs
