I used a butter knife to indent the fingers with knuckles. Be sure not to cut them in half. I also added some raisins to my second half and even made a few pointing fingers to make it interesting. Here is the most important part: Chill your shaped dough for an hour! You have to do it to keep their shape. Then you can be ready to bake them.

Bake Your Fingers.

Bake your fingers in a preheated 350 degree oven. For about 10-15 minutes until golden brown. The raisins will get brown too. Then let them cool on the sheets for 2-3 minutes and take them off carefully to serve.

I made the blood sauce with a few dark beets the other day. I first steamed them, then skinned them. To make the sauce I put skinned steamed beets in a high speed blender with some powdered sugar, some cream of tarter and a half a pear. Its a really great color and it tastes really good! Serve your fingers with Blood and everyone will be impressed. the most sugar is in the blood. and the cookies only use 2/3 of a cup, so they are pretty healthy! enjoy!
