Who could say no to a scrumptious slice of homemade pizza? It is the most popular fast-food in the world. Our family favourite weekend dinner is pizza. There are many varieties of pizza, but my family favourite is Margherita pizza.

I think you don't need any particular season to eat a pizza like you would with any other food. So I have made this recipe of a smiling pizza for all seasons because pizza makes you smile doesn't it. This recipe is very easy to make just carefully follow the steps and you will have a freshly baked pizza on your table that will surely please your family and friends.

Ingredients:

3oog strong white flour

1ooml lukewarm water

1tsp yeast dissolved in 50ml lukewarm water

1tsp sugar

1tbsp olive oil

salt to taste

Take the cup of dissolved yeast add sugar and leave covered in a warm place for a few minutes.

Adding the Yeast

Place flour in a standing mixer add the yeast mixed with water.

Kneading

Attach the kneading hook to the mixer.Turn the mixer on and start to add the water a little at a time. The mixture will appear crumbly and then it will start to leave the sides of the mixing bowl. Add salt, Keep mixing till it comes together in the form of a soft dough.

Rising

Leave to rise covered in a warm place till double in size this may take 3-4 hours.

Second Proofing

Divide the dough into equal sections. Make a ball out of each section and again set aside covered for 30 minutes.

Rolling

Roll out one ball at a time with your hand, spread to desired size. If you can't manage with your hand use a rolling pin but usually a pizza is rolled out wth the help of a hand.

Spreading the Sauce

I keep my work simple by adding oregano salt and black pepper to tomato paste, but you can make pizza sauce yourself or buy it if you like.

Spread the sauce over the rolled dough.

Adding Mozzarella

Cover with mozzarella, I use grated mozzarella because I find it better to handle.

Making the Hair

Use the baked or grilled zucchini to make the curly hair.

Ears

Eyes

Cut an olive into half use each part for the eyes. Place a piece of corn inside the hole of each olive.

Making the Mouth and Baking the Pizza

For the mouth use bell pepper as shown in the picture.

Use a piece of olive for the nose.

Place the prepared pizza in a preheated oven at 400 degrees. Bake till the cheese melts and is golden brown in colour.

This is the best recipe that you can enjoy making with your kids. Involve them with you while making the face parts and they will surely have fun.
