Hands Free Cat Scratcher

We are going out of town for about 10 days at the end of the month. We have a long haired Maine Coon cat who is always desperate to rub on anything or to be pet.

Considering there are many options out there for these self petting tunnels all from a somewhat inexpensive price range to a crazy amount of money.

Considering when you buy stuff for cats they never use it. I decided to go the cheap rout for these 10 days... Then if it's lost its luster in the trash it goes.... if not I'll invest in one or spend some time to make a nice one.

Full disclosure. I didn't even try to make this thing look nice! You could make one look great if you took your time. I took less than 5 min to make mine.

The Brush

I grabbed 3 toilet brushes at wally world @ $1.59 each and cut the tops off.

Join the ends together by twisting the wire around the the brush.

Just Incase

I just grabbed some duct tape to make sure that there are no pointy ends and gave it a quick wrap.

Board

An old box will work. I just happen to have this foam board laying around. so I just pushed the wire threw and taped it down.

Flip It Over

Flip it over and put some nip on it. shouldn't take long for them to find it.
