Handmade Spoon and Wood Engraving

Hi!!
One day, I was so bored, that I thought to myself, have I ever made a good spoon? Of course I have, but those were awful and didn't look so good. So I simply took a piece of wood and started making one...
Tools and Materials
Tools:
- Spoon chisel (it's like letter U)
- Angle grinder
- Sandpaper
- Paper knife
- Piece of cloth
- Piece of wood (for me it was Oak)
- Oil
Spoon Carving

First thing to do, is to carve out the inside of the spoon, if your chisel is sharp enough this step will be easy for you...
Adjusting Shape

- First I cut off the unnecessary wood from around the bowl
- Then I cut off the wood around the handle
- After that I chiseled some spare wood from the back of the bowl
Grinding

After all the chiseling it's time for grinding, so I took my angle grinder and grinded off the spare wood.
Also I made a hook on the end of the handle, so it could be hanged somewhere.
Engraving and Oiling

I started with drawing the pattern, and then slowly using the paper knife, I engraved the pattern..
One of the hardest parts was to sand every part of the engraved handle.
And after that only thing I had left to do, was to oil the wood, so I took some oil and a piece of cloth and oiled the spoon...
Besides the engraving, I think this project is suitable for everyone, it's quite easy and can be made in short time (took me 3-4 hours). So try it yourself, and have fun!!
