We need 2 wooden trays, first is the bigger outer one much like a tray and the smaller with 4 sides that sits on the tray.

  • Begin by marking the MDF board.
  • I used jigsaw to cut the boards, nailed and squared them up.
  • Now we have a tray of 1.5 ft x 1.5 ft and a 4 inch x 4 inch frame fixed in the tray's center.

Assembling

  • Use chicken mesh to cover all the area and leave the space in the center.
  • To border, cut wooden molding bit at 45 degrees with the help of a miter box. Then the pieces were fixed using 1" nails along with the chicken mesh.
  • Install the ceramic magnets on 4 corners of the inside-box using hot glue.

  • Cut the sun board into a square shape (7" x 7").
  • Attatch the clock setup properly in the center.
  • Place the ceramic magnets in the sun board's four corners.
  • To make the number indicators, I took some rectangular cut pieces of poster board and coloured them.
