Hi everyone,

I decided to make a no-sew parachute so that anyone could make it. This is such a simple and fun craft to make so I hope you enjoy it.

Supplies

What you will need

  • A half yard of a stretchy fabric
  • 3-stranded cotton string
  • Ruler
  • Scissors

Cutting Your Fabric

Lay your fabric out and cut a 22x18 rectangle, once you cut it out round out the corners to make it a large circle.

Cutting Your Holes

Cut 6 small holes with your scissors, evenly spaced out from each other.

Tying Knots

Next, grab the cotton string and cut 6 two-and-a-half feet long strings.

Tie the Knots

Thread the string through the hole and double-knot it. Do this to all the holes.

Tie Together

Lastly, tie all six strings together by double knotting them. Leaving a 4-inch tail after you tie it all together, cut the tail leaving only an inch long tail.

How to Drop

Finally, grab it from the center and drop it from a tall platform. Hope you enjoy your parachute.

Tying Knots

Take your 3-stranded cotton string and cut 4 18-inch strings then thread it through each of the four holes and double knot it.

Tying It Off

Finally, tie all four of your strings together leaving a tail that is about 3 and a half inches long.

To have the best results hold from the middle then watch your parachute float.
