Hand Crank Knex Winch

I decided to build this because i have been trying to find a way to pull a straight up to lift stuff and the knex motors just don't have enough torqe.

5 long green rods
15 yellow rods
13 blue rods
5 white rods
14 short green rods
2 long gray rods
10 small grey connectors
17 yellow connectors
10 3D connectors
2 blue connectors
12 red connectors
2 white connectors
2 gear connectors
2 gears
2 rubber bands

The Base

This is the base of the winch
for this you will need these pieces

10 blue and gray 3D pieces
12 yellow rods
5 long green rods
2 blue rods
2 short green rods

The Shaft

9 small gray connectors
7 red connectors
3 yellow connectors
2 long gray rods
2 gear locks
2 gears

1st Gear Lock

the purpose of this lock with the help of the gear lock is to keep the shaft from spinning in both directions.
all the parts that you will need are.

6 yellow connectors
1 yellow rod
1 blue rod
3 short green rods
1 white connector
1 rubber band

2nd Gear Lock Release Switch

This part will release the lock on the second gear.

for this part you will need these pieces

3 white rods
4 yellow connectors
6 blue rods
1 red connector

2nd Gear Lock

this is the gear setup that will turn the drive shaft when you pull the handle back and forth.

10 short green rods
4 yellow connectors
4 red connectors
3 blue rods
3 gray connectors
2 blue connectors
1 white connector
1 rubber band

remember after you have the rubber band on you have to turn the white connector in a clockwise motion so that there is tension on the rubber band before you set it on the gear.
