Han Solo/ Luke Skywalker Droid Caller

This is a simple yet important prop in any Star Wars costume (unless you aren't going for a pilot/droid-friendly character).

Sliver and Brownish craft foam

3 Circular pieces

3 Small thin silver strips

To make the droid caller I simply took a piece of craft foam, cut it into a rectangle, and rolled it into a cylinder. Then I got the large cylinder and then added a circular piece to each end to cover them. Then I made a smaller cylinder for the silver portion on top, also adding a circle piece to cover the top only. I then added small strips to create the silver edging and a small circle for the button on the top (the picture above explains this way better than I can). To make the back a bit nicer I attached some more black craft foam to the back. :) Yes, instead of wasting about 25 dollars, you can make your own droid caller for about 10-5 dollars. This will look good with any costume and will make your friends shocked when they find out that you did it yourself.
