Halloween Themed Chocoflan

Warning!!!!!!!

The following recipe contains eggs and cocoa, if you are allergic to these please DO NOT do this recipe. If you do not like chocolate cake you can always replace it with any other type of cake.

Also, this recipe has medium to hard difficulty so please try at your own risk

Supplies

  • Tube cake pan
  • Large cake pan
  • Baking spray
  • Caramel syrup
  • Water
  • Mixer
  • Chocolate
  • Candy eyes
  • Red dye
  • Cake box Mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup (64 grams) of oil
  • 1 cup (128 grams) of water
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preheat the Oven

Set the oven at 350 Fahrenheit (176 Celsius). When preheating the oven fill the big cake pan halfway with water and put it into the oven as it's preheating

Mix the Ingredients Into the Cake Mix

Add the eggs, oil, and water into the boxed cake mix

Do the Flan Mixture

In a blender, add 1 can of condensed milk, 1 can of evaporated milk, and 3 eggs

Prepare Cake Pan

Spray the tube cake mold with baking spray, and cover the bottom of the pan (around a centimeter deep) with caramel syrup

Fill in Mold

pour in the chocolate cake batter in first, and then pour the chocoflan all around the mold

Put Mold in the Oven and Let It Bake

place the tube pan in the middle of the big cake pan that is filled with water. If the water doesn't cover the whole pan to the top, then add more water. Then let bake for 40-45 minutes or to the point that if you stick a fork into the cake then no batter comes with it. Afterwards let it cool.

Make Chocolate Spiders

Melt chocolate (you can do this by putting the chocolate in the microwave or by melting it in the stove) and putting it into a small ziplock bag. Then make a tiny hole in one of the corners, squeeze some chocolate out and make a medium size ball, then add some legs to the original ball. After that put on the candy eyes and let them rest until they are completely solid

Make the Fake Blood

In a small bowl mix together some extra caramel and red dye

Decorate

pour the fake blood on top of the chocoflan and place the spiders on top of the chocoflan
