Halloween Tea Light Holder With Cardboard Pumpkin

A simple, yet enjoyful tea light pumpkin for halloween

Piece of wood, any type will do - size here 6 x 8 cm

Spare cardboard - size 20 x 20 cm, 3 mm thickness

Laser cutter or cutter and cutter board.

CNC router OR old fashioned saw and fostner bit.

Paint and some yellow transparent paper.

Glue (any paper fixing one will do)

Tea light

The outline and the face of the pumpkin are created out of the card board.

Use a piece of paper to transfer the shapes to the cardboard or use a laser cutter.

Once the outline and the face is cut out, color to your liking using finger paint. Do both sides to ensure a more appealing look from both sides.

As soon as the color is dried glue the transparent yellow paper behind the cut outs from one side. Make sure to keep the size of the transparent paper to a minimum.

The wood stand is a simple piece of wood in the dimensions 6 x 8 cm with a height of 2 cm.

Trim any larger piece of wood to size. Use a CNC cutter to prepare a hole for the tea light and a 2-3 mm groove the hold the pumpkin cardboard in front.

Alternatively use a fostner bit of 25 mm diameter for the tea light hole and a saw for the cardboard groove.

Assemble both cardboard pumpkin and stand and enjoy during night hours.
