My favorite time of the year is Fall and I love Halloween. This year I wanted to make some cool decorations for my Halloween party.

A Halloween Table top decoration was the first on my list to make.

I saw some vintage Halloween table top decorations online and wanted to try and recreate the vintage look. I started by making each frame using tinkerCAD to design and then used my 3D printer to print them out of glow in the dark PLA.

Each frame can be downloaded for free and even a blank one to make your own themed frame if you wish.

All frames can be found at tinkerCAD.com which will be linked in the next section.

A razor

Hot glue gun

A battery operated tam light

5 Shade frames, there are 8 to choose from, or use the frame only and design your own frame!

Remember you need only Five frames to make the shade so pick your favorites or make your own.

Here is the links to each of the 8 Halloween themed frames I made:

3D print each one of the selected shades.... I used glow in the dark PLA in my prints so the shade has an eerie glow when the lights go off.

This step involves using the white glue, placing the frames back side in the glue and then cutting sections of tissue paper to place on the back. I pre cut my tissue for each frame and then used a razor to cut out areas that I wanted to change the color in that section.

I also used a pen to highlight areas or text I wanted to have stand out.

Over lapping the tissue also gives different effects or shadowing.

Have fun and create your own color style to your shades.

Assemble the 5 Sided Shade

I next used a hot glue gun to place hot glue along the sides of each frame and quickly and carefully place the next frame on the side and pressed them together. Be sure to bend each frame joint to make a pentagon to ensure each decoration is a 5 sided self standing shade.

Be safe, work carefully and don't burn your fingers!

Enjoy the Spooky Decoration

Halloween table top decoration

I used a batter operated tea light that flickers to add a realistic touch.

I will place this center on my table to add a little Halloween décor for my party!

Have fun making this Halloween Decoration and Happy Halloween!
