Even the most humble of ceiling medallions can be turned into a snazzy wreath for Halloween.

  • Star burst ceiling medallion
  • 2.5" to 3” wide ribbon
  • Black water based paint
  • Sponge brush
  • Black glitter
  • Preval Sprayer
  • Elmer’s glue
  • Scissors
  • Heavy duty thumbtacks

Prepare the Preval Sprayer

Preval's Maker Minute: Halloween Medallion Wreath

Add 1.5 oz. of black water-based paint and 1 oz. of water to the jar. Cap, shake and attach the spray can.

Apply an even coat of paint onto the medallion, spraying from all angles for perfect coverage. For best results, allow the paint to dry between coats.

Apply Glitter

Next, it’s time to add some sparkle. Using a sponge brush, apply Elmer’s glue to the edges of the medallion. Work in small sections to sprinkle a liberal amount of glitter onto the surface before it dries.

Finishing Touches

When you’re done, wipe the excess glitter away and loop the ribbon through the wreath.

Add 1 half inch to the desired length and cut. Fold the half-inch edge over, and secure it to the top of the door .
