Halloween Ghost Craft
Hi everyone! Are you searching for an easy, low-budget way to make Halloween decorations? Well look no further! Gather your family and friends to make a cute and fun Halloween craft!
Supplies
What you’ll need:
· Cheese cloth (or thin cotton cloth)
· Elmer’s glue
· Balloons
· Googly eyes
· Water from the faucet
· Medium bowl
· Small carboard box (for your ghosts to dry on)
· Any container to stabilize your balloons with the wet cloth
Balloon Time
Blow up balloons to desired size and place them in container to hold balloon. You can use any size balloon. I have used long skinny balloons since that's all I had on hand.
Pouring Time
Take your glue and pour in mixing bowl, you will add water to bowl in a one-to-one ratio. You may have to squeeze from the bottom to really get the glue into the bowl.
Mixing Time
Submerge your cheese cloth in the glue and water mixture. You will want to place your small cardboard box under the bowl now. Form the mixture over your containers and carefully place outside to dry
Time to Make the Ghost!
Leave ghosts outside for 12 hours, or over night to dry. The cloth will become hard all the way through, leaving a very stiff consistency. This is how you will know they are dry all the way.
Give Them Eyes
Bring inside and add your googly eyes with the remaining Elmer’s glue
Light Them Up (optional)
If you have small tea lights, you can place them underneath your ghosts.
Time to Show Them Off!
They will be hard enough so that you can display them inside, outside, at a party... Whatever you would like!
