I came up with the Idea to build a Halloween themed Cookie Monster with moving parts that looks cute and harmless during the day and scary at dawn, and it turned out better than I imagined. Im lucky to have access to a large format CNC and a 3D Printer but it can also be built with a Jigsaw and some Styrofoam.

Please be careful working with Electricity, the motors in my list are 110V and that can be deadly if not done right, All Wire connections should be enclosed and water tight. these geared Motors can get really hot while running make sure to use PETG or ABS for covers and keep fur away.

Im not the best in explaining my steps as most of it was build and planed on the go, use my pictures as a rough road map

Supplies

CNC, 3D Printer, Hole Saw, Hand Drill, Plywood, faux fur, glue (see PDF for more parts)

Use the attached .dxf file to cut out the Cookie Monsters face and hands out of 3/4 exterior plywood, round over edges for safety

3D Print Eyes, I used Glow in the Dark White PLA and Plack PLA with a 0.8mm nozzle and low infill on a Ender 3.

Cut 8mm rods to 6 1/4 (160mm) and hammer in bearing in to plywood, I used 3 bearings each rod, Pictures explain most of the steps, make sure to tighten the belts by rotating the motor, and align them to avoid rubbing.

I did not have the 7mm pulleys for the motor shaft so I made my own shim, Amazon has 7mm pulleys (see my PDF)

Temporarily install Eyes to test.

I used spray on contact cement, double side tape works too

Cover motor and wires to keep it dry and safe from kids fingers, my picture shows a fan to keep motor cool in the California Heat.

Build your base to attach the Cookie Monsters hand to it, I used hinges and a motor to have the hands move, I did not take dimensions as this part was not planed, use pictures as reference.
