Halloween Cake Pops

Cake pops are bite-sized, fun treats that combine cake, frosting, and candy coating all in one! They’re perfect for parties, gifts, or just a sweet snack. Follow these steps to make your own.
Supplies

Mixing bowls
Baking pan
Spoon or spatula
Food processor (optional)
Lollipop sticks (or skewers)
Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler
Styrofoam block or tall cup (for holding pops upright)
- 1 baked cake (any flavor, cooled)
- ½ cup frosting (buttercream, cream cheese, or store-bought)
- Candy melts or chocolate for coating
- Sprinkles or decorations (optional)
Bake the Cake

- Choose your favorite cake flavor.
- Bake it according to the recipe or box instructions.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
Crumble the Cake

- Break the cooled cake into large chunks.
- Use your hands or a food processor to crumble it into fine crumbs.
Mix With Frosting

- Add a spoonful of frosting at a time to the cake crumbs.
- Mix until the texture is like cookie dough—moist enough to hold shape but not sticky.
Shape the Balls

- Roll small portions of the mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes (or freezer for 5–10 minutes) until firm.
Insert the Sticks

- Melt a small amount of candy coating or chocolate.
- Dip the tip of each stick into the melted coating, then push it halfway into a cake ball.
- This helps the stick stay in place.
- Chill again briefly to set.
Dip the Cake Pops

- Melt the rest of your candy coating or chocolate until smooth.
- Dip each cake pop straight down into the coating, then lift straight out.
- Gently tap off excess coating while holding the stick upright.
Decorate

- While the coating is still wet, add sprinkles, drizzle, or other decorations.
- Stick the pops upright into a Styrofoam block or tall cup to dry.
- Enjoy!
