Hal Khova Recipe | Easy Home Made Hal Khova | 90's Favourite Sweet
An easy and simple sweet snack recipe made with a combination of plain flour, ghee and sugar. It is very simple and easy to prepare and hardly takes few minutes to prepare and can be easily served for any occasion, celebration or ritual.
Ingredients:
- 2 cup Maida
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Ghee
- Oil (if required)
- Dry fruits for garnish
Step 1: Take a Pan and Add One Cup of Ghee
Heat the pan. Once the pan is heated add one cup of ghee and melt it.
Step 2: Adding Maida/ All Flour
Once the ghee is melted, add 2 cups of maida/ All purpose flour and mix it gradually. Cook the mixture for about 4 min until the ghee and maida combine well.
Step 3: the Ingredients Turns Aromatic
The ingredients turn aromatic after 4 minutes. Keep stirring it on medium flame until the mixture turns light brown
Step 4: Keep the Mixture for Cooling
Turn off the flame and keep the mixture for cooling for about 2 to 4 minutes.
Note: Do not over exceed more than 4 min, as the moisture evaporates and starts getting hard.
Step 5: Adding Powdered Sugar
Add one cup of powdered sugar to the mixture and mix it nicely until all the sugar melts and makes it look like a dough.
Note: In case you need more sweet, please add another half cup of sugar.
Step 6: Garnishing the Mixture
Take a container with butter paper and grease it with ghee. Sprinkle some grated dry fruits (This is optional). Take the dough and place it inside the container and press it nicely to remove the air bubble and freeze it for 2 to 3 hours.
Step 7: Hal Khova Is Ready!
Remove the Hal Khova from fridge and slice it into pieces. Hal Khova is ready to serve.
