Hair Elastics From an Old Pair of Tights

Reuse an old pair of tights by turning them into hair elastics!
This simple hack will supply you with endless hair elastics from an old pair of tights that are ready for the trash.
Materials and Tools

All you need for this project is a pair of sharp scissors and an old pair of tights.
Cut

Avoiding parts of the tights with holes (runs are generally fine if they aren't too big), cut 1 1/2 to 2-inch wide pieces.
Roll

Using your fingertips, roll the tights up so that they form a ring.
End

That's all there is to it! These hair elastics provide a gentle hold.
If you prefer a stronger hold you can either use thicker tights or use a wider section for a thicker elastic.
