3D Designing is an extraordinary expertise and it's helpful in rejuvenating thoughts by making 3D layered models. In this instructional exercise article, we are making a 3D model of a cup holder utilising SelfCAD. SelfCAD is one of the most straightforward, but amazing 3D design programs that you can use to get ready both basic and complex plans effortlessly.

Starting with designing the Cylinder shape, we will transform it with tools like Add thickness, Polygon Selection, Move, Inset, etc. SelfCAD is one of the most astonishing 3D Modeling Software, including different features used to design the 3D-Objects.

Along these lines, we should begin!!

Insert a Cylinder and Delete Its Top Face

First of all, we will go to the 3D shapes and insert a cylinder to the working interface. Set its top radius to 40, bottom radius to 30, vertical segments to 8. Then opt for polygon selection and select the top face of the cylinder. After that, delete the top face.

Add Thickness to the Cylinder and Add Another One

Next, go to modify and select the add thickness tool. Set the thickness to -3. Then insert another cylinder and set its top radius to 40, bottom radius to 42, height to 10, vertical segments to 8 and position y to 150.

Delete the Bottom Face and Add Thickness to It

Now, select the bottom face of the lid and delete it. Set the thickness to -2. Then select the top face of the lid.

Inset the Top Face and Move It

Next, go to modify and select the inset tool. Set the amount to 18. Then we will select the move tool and set y to 165.

Insert a L-Shape and Mirror Its Copy

Now, insert a L-shape to the working interface. Set its height to 3, front width to 2, front length to 4, side width to 2, length to 6, position x to -3, position y to 164, position x to 90. Then go to utilities and select the mirror option. Click on the create copy option, set direction to right and offset to -1.

Make Them a Union and Colour Them

Next, we will select mesh_8 and mesh_12(1), go to stitch and scoop and make them a union. Then go to the colour picker option and colour the lid grey and the base a lighter shade of grey.

CONCLUSION: Therefore, We Have Designed a 3D Trash Can in SelfCAD

We've utilised various kinds of tools of SelfCAD to 3D design the trash can. Aside from sorting out some way to 3D model the item, you can utilise a comparative methodology in 3D designing various models in SelfCAD. After you are done with 3D modeling, you can involve free software for 3D printing to set them up for 3D printing by cutting and producing G-code that you can ship off your printer.
