To make any surprising 3D model, you ought to, specifically, pick a 3D modeling software to use in your endeavours. In the wake of deciding the right 3D modeling software, you would then begin learning its tools and different components. In this tutorial article, we're demonstrating the way that you can design a handgun in SelfCAD. We picked SelfCAD as it's more easy to learn, and you don't have to have an understanding of 3D modeling to make the decision to utilise it.

Is it right that you are excited about learning 3D designing? Dread not. SelfCAD is here to relieve your interests. In this way, we should begin with a straightforward article, for example, a handgun!

So, let's start!

Insert a Cube and a L Shape to the Working Interface

First of all, we will go to the 3D shapes and insert a cube to the working interface. Set width to 20, height to 150, depth to 20, position Y to 70 and rotation Z to 90. Then from the 3D shapes insert a L-shape.

Set the Parameters for the L Shape

Now, set height to 19, front width to 18, front length to 89, side width to 32, side length to 43, position X to 15, position Y to 10, rotation Z to -1, rotation Y to -90, rotation Z to -90.

Skew the Edges

Next, from the deform category choose the skew tool. Set x to -14. Then select mesh_4 and deselect mesh_8. After that, again select the skew tool and set x to -6. Then we will reverse the selection.

Copy the Face of the Handle Part

Now, we will opt for face selection and select the handle sided face of the gun. Then copy this object by clicking on the copy option.

Scale the Face and Add Thickness to It

Next, use the scale tool and scale this to 29.33 along the x-axis. Set y to 42.82 then go to modify and select the add thickness tool. Set thickness to 1.

Move the Face to Another Side and Insert a Torus

Now, copy the selected object and move it along the z axis to an amount of 9 using the move tool. Then insert a torus shape to the working interface. Set ring radius to 8, tube radius to 7, tubular segments to 3, radial segments to 21, arc to 123, position x to 61, position y to 57, rotation x to 90 and rotation y to -148.

Insert Another Torus and Extrude the Base Face

Next , insert another torus and set its ring radius to 19, tube radius to 3, tubular segments to 3, arc to 69, position x to 12, position y 35, rotation x to 90, rotation y to 63. Then select the bottom part of the side face of the trigger. After that, go to modify and select the extrusion tool. Set the amount to 26.72.

Insert a Torus and a Cylinder

Now, insert another torus and set its ring radius to 9, tube radius to 2, tubular segments to 3, arc to 87, position x to 26, position y 42, rotation x to 90, rotation y to 42 and rotation z to 3. Then we will insert a cylinder and set its top radius to 6, bottom radius to 6, height to 20, position x to -71, position y to 73, rotation z to 100.

Inset the Face and Extrude It Towards the Inside

Next, select the circular shape of the cylinder and inset it to an amount of 1 using the inset tool under the modify category. Then we will extrude the selected face to an amount of -5.

Add Colour to the Gun

Now, select mesh_20, mesh_8, mesh_12 and mesh_16 and go to the colour picker and colour it black. You can also change or add colours according to your choice.

CONCLUSION: Hence, We Have Designed a 3D Gun in SelfCAD

We have 3D designed the handgun with different tools of SelfCAD. It is astonishing to 3D design an article that might be almost immaterial, tremendous, or complex. You can moreover utilize a similar strategy to 3D design other 3D objects of your choice.
