HOW TO CREATE a 3D GEOMETRIC FORM IN 3D MODELLING SOFTWARE

We'll create a geometrical form in 3D in this tutorial article. We are utilising SelfCAD, a 3D modelling software. SelfCAD enables you to quickly create 3D models without investing a lot of effort in learning how to do so, as well as both simple and complicated designs. The Freehand Sketch, Rotate tool, Move tool, Stitch and scoop and other SelfCAD tools will be used. We'll start by modifying and 3D creating a freehand sketch. You will gain knowledge of the SelfCAD's different tools by learning how to 3D-design this geometric form.

You can even visit our website and go through our other numerous articles similar to this such as how to create a 3D triangle optical illusion!

Let's begin, then!

Create a Circle and Give Height to It

Screenshot (5554).png

First of all, from the drawing category, choose freehand. From the tools panel choose a circle sketch. Set the number of edges to 8. Then draw an object as shown in the image and set height to 76.54.

Rotate the Object and Move It

Next, select the rotate tool and set y to 22.5. Then select the move tool and set y to 100.

Copy the Object and Repeat the Same Step

Now we will copy the object by clicking on the copy button and rotate it along the z axis to 90 degrees. Then we will repeat the same step but this time we will rotate along the y axis.

Colour the Objects in Different Colours

Next, we will go to the colour picker option and change the colour of the select object to red. Then change the colour of the other two objects to white and black respectively.

Make the Whoe Objects a Union

Now, select all the objects, go to stitch and scoop and make them a union.

CONCLUSION: THEREFORE, WE HAVE CREATED a 3D GEOMETRIC FORM IN SelfCAD

The geometric form was successfully 3D constructed in SelfCAD. This course combines important features like rotate, move, and Freehand Sketch in addition to the core SelfCAD tools like edge selection and 3D forms. As there are no arithmetic errors that could make configurations difficult to print, all of the 3D models created in SelfCAD are 3D printable.

Once the design cycle is complete, you can use SelfCAD's integrated slicer to cut your design and create the G-Code file you need to send to your 3D printer. Taking everything into account, we hope you find the tutorial article and the process to be helpful and educational.
